James, Paddleboarder | Boise Photographer

Boise Weekly’s Best of Boise just came out. Grab a copy!

Here are some shots that were taken of James (of Idaho River Sports and Stand Up and Paddle!) for Best Way to Walk on Water

Oh, and if you’ve ever seen someone out paddle boarding with a dog on the front of their board, it was probably James!

Cycling Time Trials | Boise Photographer

On a toasty August evening I watched cyclist after cyclist fly past me as they launched into their Thursday Night Time Trial out in South Boise. These cyclists get together to track their times and training progress by going all out on a 10 mile loop that starts at the corner of Cloverdale and Ten Mile. I don’t know all the details of their efforts, but Sarah does.

Sarah Barber wrote “Kristin Armstrong, A Phenom in Our Midst” for Boise Weekly. Check it out.

Snake River Rugby | Boise Photographer

Did you know the Treasure Valley has Division II Rugby team? Did you know they’ve been a team since 1972?!?

Meet the Snake River Rugby Club. I dropped by one of their evening practices to snag some shots for an article in the Boise Weekly’s Rec section.

Read Lisa Huynh Eller’s article, Snake River Rubgy Sets its Sights on the Championship here.

SPOILER ALERT: These guys just won the PNRFU (Pacific Northwest Rugby Football Union) Championship.  Impressive.

Catch a game at Willow Lanes during their next season. Follow them and their schedule on facebook here.

Best Race Run By A Local Politician | Boise Photographer

Boise City Council Member Lauren McLean ran the Boston Marathon in 3:58:01

Lauren wasn’t very happy with her time. But from my perspective, what’s more impressive than someone who completes a marathon AND then is critical of their time? I’d be thrilled to finish…

Lowell Pool | Boise Photographer

Honestly…These menacing above ground concrete pools have always scared the crap out of me.

Turns out this place is awesome. Super cool 50’s design, very clean, not overly crowded. Plus you’re swimming up near the trees and the skies….pretty peaceful.
