Another year has passed and Cambree is now seven years old. It seems like just yesterday she was 6…or 5…or 4… WOW, time flies!
Cambree has always had crazy poses and outrageous expressions. She’s full anything everything BUT “natural” smiles. If she smiles, its overly sappy and sweet and is usually followed by a gag or baring of teeth. Every year she is more and more animated. She’s just about as tall as me at age 7. Who knows, maybe she’s top model material?
Waaay back on February 17th (I only know this because of the RAW file data) of LAST year, Nicole (super talented wedding photographer — check out her work at www.nackphotography.com) and I went location scouting + exploring one morning on the Boise Bench. We didn’t find any amazing locations like we’d hoped, but we snapped some shots anyway. Not only is Nicole a fabulous photographer, but she’s also beautiful and natural in front of a camera (unlike myself) so I thought I’d share some of our random photos, even if they are OVER A YEAR old. Seriously, I’m cringing that it took me so long to sort through these. Wow.
Hildy and Charles are best pals. Hildy and I are best pals. That means, by default, Charles and I are best pals too. Look at him. Who wouldn’t love him?!
In early December Hildy and I (and Charlie) went to Mores Creek Summit to search for our Christmas trees. Before grabbing a saw I grabbed my camera and we got some fun shots of these two lovin’ it up in the snow. So glad we took the time to take these!
As a side note, we also did find two PERFECTLY imperfect Christmas trees after a long, steep hike. Such a fun afternoon of quiet, snow and sunshine. I hope we can do it again next year with Charlie AND Gus!
Last week I photographed Sheila at Payette Brewing for a Boise Weekly article (check it out here) on proposed legislation that would lower taxes for breweries and in turn, likely increase production and sales and therefore, wait for it, tax revenue. Magic.
Sheila was awesome. She was even willing to hold a keg over her head at my request. I’d say she looks pretty victorious — let’s hope the bill passes!
Last Friday, Dylan and Sara had a cozy, intimate, wintry wedding. We started at Modern Bar, then wound our way over to Simplot Hill. After winding our way back towards the freeway we were off to Brick 29 for the ceremony.
There were lots of handmade touches (watch for the photo of the narwhal Sara made to be Dylan’s boutonniere!), unique details (their guest book was a matted illustration rather than a photo) and plenty of laughter. Plus, Sara and Dylan looked impeccable in their classic attire. But all that said, this was a wedding that was relaxed and joyful above all else.
Going back to the details though, Sara is amazingly crafty. Check out her adorable felted creations at her Etsy shop – I Felt Fuzzy.
