Not just gelato…

The Gelato Cafe is definitely hidden. Once inside this Meridian cafe you’ll find an ambiance you didn’t expect & an array of choices wide enough to please just about anyone.

My synopsis: Just two words: Gelato Martinis

Final Show for Midline

Midline‘s final show was last weekend at The Knitting Factory.

I showed up to their rehearsal space (a storage unit) & followed the sound & extension cords until I found them. After 20 years of joking & shooting the shit with each other, it was rather entertaining just to listen in. Despite having tons of band photo ops along the way, it was said that I might’ve been their first redhead photographer. Excellent…

Condos in the capital city | Boise Photographer

I’ve noticed that it is tough(er) to find an open pole or bicycle rack to chain up the ol’ bike. I would imagine that this is a result of more people living close enough to downtown to bike in for dinner or work, as well as an increasing desire to be in Boise’s downtown area. It would only make sense that downtown dwellers are the next thing on the horizon.

Karen Sander works with Boise’s Downtown Neighborhood Association. We met early one morning in front of the Aspen Lofts–the first batch of swanky, modern condos to pop up.

Imelda’s Mexican Food (She really is the one in the kitchen cooking)

Top reasons to go to Caldwell:

1. Visit my grandma

2. Eat tacos at Imelda’s.

3. Hamburger Connection (Some of the best fry sauce around…)

Let me explain #2 in more detail. Imelda’s restaurant is full of color & character. The patio is really cute, though it’s too bad the view stretches across parking lots & streets.

A couple of who were just finishing their lunch said it was delicious, & that I couldn’t go wrong. Imelda greetly me warmly and took me back into her kitchen, which is CLEAN. As I made my way to the grill where she was making homemade tortillas, I was very impressed by how the stainless steel sparkled & the smell of fresh cilantro filled my nose. Clean, fresh, authentic. Mmmm!!

2-for-1 drinks with a view

A pub with tons of daylight streaming in doesn’t usually appeal to me. However, the Piper Pub & Grill is a great warm weather watering hole. The outdoor balcony seating offers great potential for people watching.

Scotch club? Check.

Heaping plates of food? Check.

Cool old-fashioned ceiling fans? Check.
